Tuesday

You just can't get romantic with a long time friend.

Oh yes, my boy troubles. I forgot.

Anyway, this is the bouquet I made for Whitney's bridal pictures. And all weekend we've been working to figure out the finishing touches on Whitney's wedding, including our dress fittings on Saturday, Whitney's bridal shower is coming up on Sunday, and I spent the whole weekend with Shayla and her fiance. Is it any wonder that I'm a little loopy? Not to mention that I hardly slept at all this weekend. But then, no sleep is normal for me. Anyhow, on my way back from Tremonton to Logan, after I'd dropped off Maddi and I was on my own.... I called Matthew. Dumb of me, I know, but I did it. My excuse was to see how he's doing on his job of getting... never mind, that's classified at the moment. Anyhow, I'd given him this assignment a few months ago, and was just checking back to make sure that he remembered. He was in a good mood, and I was in a good mood, and we just started talking. And suddenly I was asking him to be my date for Whitney's reception. That is not what was supposed to come out. I was going to tell him that I was bringing a date, and ask if he would mind saving a dance for me. But I asked him. Because, of all the dumb reasons, I do want him to be my date. He said maybe. True Matthew fashion. He hates to tell me no, and so he says maybe, maybe, maybe, until he finally says no. How is it that he makes me forget that? He always says no. Ok, not always, but the vast majority of the time. Sigh.
Out of the fire and into the fire again, you make me want to forget and start all over.
