Sunday

Sigh, c'est la vie.

You know, I think the most awkward part about dating comes after the actual date. I mean, on the date you're in kind of an intimate setting, you talk about things, and maybe act a little bit differently than you would if you weren't on a date. Not in a bad way, but maybe you say, sit a little closer or something.

Then, you see the person in church, and you look at them differently. Not saying that you like them or you don't like them, but the relationship's just a tiny bit different. How do you act then?

I'm probably not making any sense, but oh well.

So, today was my Dad's 43 birthday, and I got to go home for a little while.

We had quite the insane game of nertz going.

My family. They're crazy, but you've gotta love 'em.

Our Super Sleepover

Need I say more?

Friday

Just Because Something is Obvious Doesn't Mean I Understand It.

I feel like there's a lesson that I'm supposed to be learning from this time in my life, and I'm utterly at a loss to figure out what it is. I thought I'd learned that no matter what I have planned for my life the Lord will take it in the direction that he has planned. But that seems to be the recurring theme of this year, so maybe I haven't quite gotten it down yet. I think I am learning, though. (That's right, she can be taught!)

Thursday

I Even Love Her Liver Mousse!

If you're in the mood for a cute movie I would recommend 3 Men and a Little Lady. It's a favorite.
Someday a man will make a fool of himself over me.

Tuesday

As Sisters in Zion

Tonight we had a RS fireside with Sister Barbara Thompson in the Tabernacle. It was pretty good. She talked about the many choices that we face at this time in our lives, school, marriage, careers, children, etc, and how life doesn't always work out the way we plan it out. She said we could always speak with Heavenly Father to consult with him, and make sure that our plan our lives coincides with his plan. It never hurts to seek the Lord's guidance. And there are so many ways that we can receive that guidance through the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Sunday

Every New Beginning is Some Beginning's End

Sigh, spring break is finally officially over, it's time to face reality again. I have class in the morning, and I have to get up and go to it.
I went home for the weekend though, which was nice.
My Best friend, her boyfriend, my Dad, my little brother, and my brother's friends all nearly died on Saturday, but managed to come through virtually unharmed.
And my Mom got me reading Twilight again, which is not good for me, especially when I've been overloading on chick flicks this week.
So yeah, pretty exciting weekend.
Good night, sweet dreams.

Saturday

Blinded by the Light

We took pictures today. Picture after picture after picture. Both of me, and of Kelle-roo, because we don't have to take school pictures anymore, and my Mom wanted nice pictures of us to hang up with everyone elses. It was fun, but somehow I'm now exhausted. Well, Spring Break's almost officially over. Tomorrow's church, and bright and early Monday morning classes start again. It'll be back to fighting with the administration again. Hopefully I can start to make some progress into penetrating the burocracy.
P.S. It snowed today, which did not greatly increase my happiness level.

Friday

Valentines Dance, BYU

Ready for the dance- Doesn't Katie look excited?

Ah, the lovebirds. How precious.
Until you spend more than 5 minutes with them. :)

The pictures we took were all pretty blurry.
Mostly because he set a timer, and then we'd
run back to be in the picture.

Dress shopping. Doesn't she look lovely?

My Last Day of Freedom

Wow, Friday already. Spring Break's nearly over! Sigh, I guess this means I should put the furniture back the way it goes, and maybe put my mattress back on my bed... pick up all of my stuff that I've just left everywhere... I think I may miss having the apartment to myself. Nah, it'll be nice to have some other human activity going on. I'm glad my roommies are starting to come home tomorrow. I just wish we didn't have classes starting again on Monday. I have a Textiles test first thing Monday morning. Oh joy, huh.
At least I'm halfway through, there are only two and a half more months in the semester, and then it's Wedding time, and moving time, and finding a new job time. Something tells me May's going to be a busy month. What I think is sad is that it's only March, and my life is already booked up through mid May.
C'est la vie.

Thursday

If I drank... I would drink.

I don't know why I feel so awful, and I don't know how to fix it. There are so many things in my life that have been going wrong lately that I just want to scream. Is it time for happily ever after yet?

Why would a fellow want a girl like that?

Good morning. What a busy day it's been. I went to SLC with Ashli and hannah today. We met Elise there, and picked up Jenny at the airport. It was quite an adventure. And then we came back to Logan and watched Cinderella (R&H with Brandy), and the Singles 2nd Ward. Very good show. It was making fun of itself the whole time. We enjoyed it, though we got quite vocal when he temporarily dumped her. And now I have songs from Cinderella stuck in my head. The mushy songs are in there, 10 minutes ago, lovely night, but the one that sticks the most is why would a fellow want a girl like that, the step sisters' song. Sigh. It always makes me wonder, am I an ugly stepsister?

Why should a fellow want a girl like her
a frail and fluffy beauty
why can't a fellow ever once prefer
a solid girl like me

She's a frothy little bubble
with a flimsy kind of charm
and with very little trouble
I could break her little arm.

Oh, oh why would a fellow want a girl like her
so obviously unusual
why can't a fellow ever once prefer
a usual girl like me

Her cheeks are a pretty shade of pink,
but they're no pinker than a rose is
Her skin may be delicate and soft,
but it's no softer than a doe's is
Her neck is no whiter than a swan's
She's only as dainty as a daisy
She's only as graceful as a bird
So why is the fellow going crazy?

Oh why would a fellow want a girl like her,
a girl who's merely lovely,
why can't a fellow ever once prefer
a girl who's merely me

She's a frothy little bubble
with a frilly sort of air
And with very little trouble
I could pull out all her hair!

Oh why would a fellow want a girl like her,
a girl who's merely lovely,
why can't a fellow ever once prefer
a girl who's merely me

What's the matter with the men,
what's the matter with the men,
what's the matter with the men?!!

Sigh. I wonder. But I guess someday my prince will come, right? I mean, even Anastasia found love. And there was still hope for Drizella. Sigh. Someday.

Tuesday

All I Want is a Room Somewhere

It's a good thing I checked online last night, they weren't showing them back to back, they're showing one each night. So the third one won't be on until tomorrow, and I could get some sleep last night. Not that I really did. I never seem to sleep anymore. I'm watching my Fair Lady. And tomorrow, on a lucky break, I'm going to SLC with Ashli. It will be nice to go to Temple Square. It's almost time for Conference again. It will be different without President Hinckley, won't it. But the new Presidency's just as good. And more important, they're just as called of God as he was. The work rolls forward, the stone cut out of the mountain without hands.

A Man of Impeccable Tastes

Sigh. Well I went home this weekend. It was great. Then I had to come back to work, which pretty much sucked. I survived, though barely. Nobody's around, because it's Spring Break, but Ashli and a couple of her roommates are still in Logan, so I went and saw them tonight. We watched She's the Man-funny show- and then we played Ticket to Ride. Leslie Mason and Ben Ashby are engaged! I never would even have imagined them dating, to tell the truth. Maybe just because they both have red hair. But, the Bear River curse continues. I don't know how people manage to find each other, no matter how spread out we get. Although, you know, Utah State, Bear River University. Half of our school comes here, the other half go to Snow.
I really should go to bed now. But Anne of Green Gables is on! Is that incredibly pathetic of me? I have that movie. Here even. It's right over there in the cupboard. But instead I'm watching it on TV. With commercials. And not even just commercials, they're doing a telethon asking for donations. But after this they're going to show Anne of Avonlea, which I also have, there in the cupboard. But after that, they're showing the third movie, which I don't have, and haven't seen. I want to see that one. But seeing as it's 2 am now... I don't know what time it will be when that one starts. Hmmm... maybe I can look it up online. I'll see. Though I don't know that I'd be able to wake up and 6 am to watch it. It would be easier just to stay up, and maybe just nap through Avonlea. Though not through the kiss part. I've been in love with Gilbert Blythe for years. I'm actually considering moving my mattress into the front room here. What the heck, no one else is home. I'll have to rearrange the furniture a little, but it's not like we have anything big. The mattress will be the toughest part. I think I can do it though. At least, I'm going to try. Well, good night.

Friday

Pineapple

Good Morning. I worked until 9 tonight, which didn't put me in altogether that great of a mood. but I came home and made pineapple cookies, which makes me think of my pineapple. That darn boy. Isn't he ever going to act like I exist? I've been playing this game on facebook for like the last 24 hours, just beacuse he invited me in to it. It makes me feel like somehow I have some small connection with him, even though there's no communication involved.
I got a letter from Jeremy today. It was good to hear from him. He seems to really enjoy Missouri.
Well, it's time to pack. I can't wait to get home.

Cabin Fever

Well, here it is, Thursday night. Tomorrow morning I have classes, and then I have work all afternoon. I really should go to bed. I'm even tired. But I don't want to go to bed, because that would require getting ready for bed. And I don't want to do that. What I would really like to do is just go home. Spring break officially starts after classes tomorrow. I think it's about time. i just wish it was really Spring to go along with the break part. The good news? I'm going home tomorrow night after work. I officailly decided. I'm going home, and I'm not coming back until it's time for work on Monday. I'm so tired of being here. I can't wait to move, but that's not until May. Sigh. I want to go now. I will miss my roommates though. I won't be living with them next year, they're staying here in Merrill. Music majors. I'm not sure what Jane's doing. Krista's moving to Old Farm. But I'll be with Katie and Kaylene. That will be fun. And Sarah and Maren will be there, too. And this fall I'll probably be living with Tesha, and maybe Katie still, too. We'll have quite the adventures.

Wednesday

Day 1

Good Morning.
And yes, I do frequently say good morning, no matter what time of day it is. Eventually people get over that fact. Anyway, I felt like having a me webpage, that I could make do whatever I want, and so I'm trying this out. I think this may be a safer bet than myspace. Although there are some things it doesn't seem to want to let me do. Oh well, I'll figure it out eventually, right? This is just the start. Maybe this I can do. We'll see.
