Summer 2010

SO... I'm a horrible blogger. I don't even take pictures anymore. But, since a lot of things have changed in my life I figured I'd post an update.

After a super summer at BYU I'm now taking classes at

Utah Valley University

I just started a new job in Orem at the

Canyon Park Cafe

And in general life is good. :)

Whitney, Jerome, and Mandy are officially on their way to Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Goodbye my friends, I'll miss you.

So, 2010 got off to a great start. I've spent more time on anethesia and pills in the last two months than I have since.....ever. So I decided I may as well document the experience.

First, at the end of January I got my wisdom teeth out. Fortunately, there are no pictures of this time period in existance, and I can both smile and laugh again now.

Two weeks later I had surgery on my wrist. Why, because I had a Ganglion cyst. A very big one.

So, they cut me up to take it out, and I woke up with this lovely huge purple cast. I had to wear this thing for a week, and let me tell you, it itched. Not to mention I couldn't get it wet.

Fortunately I only had to wear it for a week, and then the doctor took out my stitches and gave me this much smaller, and removeable brace. I have to wear it for 3 weeks, which, thankfully, is half over.

And this is what my wrist looked like when the stitches came out.

Anyway, that's what I've been up to lately.

Ok, so I realize that it's been a while since I posted. I'm afraid my life is boring.

Mandy Marie Ferrin

was born Sunday, November 1 at 2:29 am. Weighing in at 7lbs 7oz she's a healthy baby. Congratulations to the happy parents, Whitney and Jerome Ferrin.

There's no place like home.

So this last weekend for conference l got to go home. I left Provo canyon, drove all of the way home, and then what did we do between sessions? Drove over to Logan canyon to see the leaves. It was a lot of fun though, and it was great just to be home. Saturday night my sibs and l went to a haunted corn maze, and that was an adventure. I'm so excited that it's now October. Bring on Halloween, I'm ready for it. : )

After we found jars, pectin, and a recipe at Macey's the other day Whitney and I decided to try our hands at making Strawberry freezer jam. It turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself. : ) And- it only took us half an hour and one mixing bowl to fill up six jars- not a bad afternoon.
