Moving Day!

My room, empty of all things me.

Happy 08/08/08!

Tuesday

My Life in Pictures

I realized that I haven't exactly been the most loquacious blogger lately, so I'll try and catch up on the last month of my life now.

Ashli and I went down to the River Walk trail, and we got a little picture happy. But it was pretty fun.

(We walk together and we talk together...)

This is when we went to the midnight showing of Batman. We had quite a while to wait after they let us in the theater.

Me, buried under air mattresses when Ashli, Tayna, and I went to play in the water.

(Ashli accidentally missed her face.)

Random pictures we took with all of the different statuary on campus.

We played Pioneer games for FHE the week of the 24th. Kaylene did the pie eating contest.
So did Spencer and Andrew.
Just hanging out watching movies.
Ashli and me trying on random dresses at the mall.

Saturday

Breaking Dawn.

It's here!

One more hour! : )

Thursday

Guess what, I'm moving. I'll let you know when I know where to.
I feel like Joseph in Egypt, I need to get me hence. Now.

Friday

My New Job!

I just started working at

earlier this week.

And anyone who knows how much I enjoyed my last job knows that this will be a good, and long overdue change.
I'm pretty excited.

Happy 24th of July!

Note to self, when going to see fireworks do not sit in the direct path of a sprinkler.

The fireworks had just started when the screaming began. Luckily, the people sitting next to us were the ones in the direct line of fire, so my roommates and I were able to get out of the way before we got completely soaked.
I think we'll probably go to a different park to celebrate next year.

Tuesday

Family History

Good morning.

So, I have a confession to make. I've become addicted to family history.

I mean, I guess it's a good thing to become addicted to, as far as addictions go. This all started when I got called as a family history consultant a couple of weeks ago.
The more I learned the more there was left for me to do.

So, if anybody happens to have a paf file with any information already entered into it I really wouldn't mind if you sent it to me.

Have a wonderful day.

Missionary Profile Part 4

This is the last of them, I promise.

Elder Jordon Thompson. Basically, Jordon's awesome. Pretty much every girl I know has had a crush on him at one point in time or another. He played the snare drum in marching band, but he's also a very accomplished marimba player (think xylophone), plays the piano, and sings bass.

Elder Joshua Pickle Dilworth. One of my first guy friends. He actually moved away around sophomore year, but it's ok, he's still awesome. He likes monkeys.

Elder Derek Corndog Clark. You know, I don't actually know how he got the name corndog, that's just always been his nickname, to the point where it sometimes feels weird to call him Derek, let alone Elder Clark. He was also in marching band, and is a homestar runner fan.

Saturday

Overwhelmed

This is Dan and Liz. (Aren't they cute together?) They were both my neighbors when I lived in Merrill.

They've been dating for pretty much as long as I've known them. When they got engaged, I knew like the day after. And today I got an announcement for their wedding at the end of the month. This I can handle, this is the way things are supposed to happen.

Also in the mail today, I got another invitation, to a double Bridal Shower for two of my friends from Merrill and way back to Valley View, Elizabeth and Jennifer. Neither of whom were engaged the last time I talked to them. Ok, so I knew Elizabeth and Ben were getting pretty close, but (Jenni)Fern and I had had many long, detailed conversations of why she couldn't date this guy, so I was rather surprised. It's ok though, I'll get over it. Now I know that they're getting married, and it wasn't a total surprise.

And then, looking at facebook, I saw a name I didn't recognize, until I looked more closely and realized that I did know this girl, she just had a different last name from the last time I saw her. Jessica was in the Relief Society Presidency with me in Merrill. When the school year ended she didn't have an official boyfriend, and now suddenly I've missed the whole engagement process and she's already married.

Sigh, crazy old people. What'd they want to go get married for anyhow?

Missionary Profile part 3

Elder Griffiths, a very good friend of mine, he was up here at Utah State with me for a year before he left. He's in the Tulsa, Oklahoma Mission, but has actually been serving in Missouri so far. (The mission actually goes in to 3 or 4 states.) That's a frisbee in his hand, not a giant pepperoni.

Elder Moake. Another very good friend of mine. He's serving in the LA, CA mission. Many people somehow mix him up with Elder Jensen, though I don't see why. Perhaps because they're both tall, blond, and incredibly nerdy. Elder Moake, seen here with a protractor in hand, is pretty much a genius, and was majoring in Chemical Engineering at BYU before he left.

Elder Smith is holding a sandwich not only because he, like all boys, enjoys eating them, but also because he worked at Subway. He's serving in Leon, Mexico.

Wednesday

To the Hospital Again

This picture is the proof. We were pretty sure Katie would never believe us that this is how we had to carry her down the stairs. Monday morning she passed out in bed, and we couldn't revive her, so with the help of her sister (right), her brother in law (back), and our neighbors Chris and Ben (front), they just picked up the whole mattress pad off of her bed and carried it down the stairs to put her in the car to go to the hospital.

P.S. She's doing much better now, though she'll be staying at April's house for a while until she makes a full recovery.

Tuesday

Kelle in her "cave". She wanted to sleep in there the other night. She and Maddi even made her a little bed, but she didn't last too very long. What a twinkie.
